Drayton Manor Theme Park is a great day out for the whole family. No matter what age your family members are they’re certain to find lots to entertain them, from the exciting thrill rides right down to gentler activities for toddlers you can keep everyone happy.
In association with Thomas Land we have a special Drayton Manor Special Offer specifically to cater for families who need a place to stay while visiting the theme park. Our packages include overnight accommodation in our spacious guestrooms, tickets to the attraction and Full English breakfast to start the day the right way (with plenty of healthy options also available) for the whole family.
Want to know how to get to Drayton Manor? It’s very simple to get there from the hotel and just over 10 minutes drive from the hotel. A short 15 minute journey down the M42 from Junction 11 to Junction 9 so you can arrive early and get the most of your fantastic day out. You can see for yourself on our new Tamworth map.
Younger kids will love Thomas Land where they can meet all their Sodor friends but watch out for the Troublesome Trucks!
Apocalypse is the worlds first stand-up tower drop and heads the impressive lineup of thrill rides at Drayton Manor. If you can handle more try the G-Force roller-coaster where you hang from the hip or experience an awesome 4G on Shockwave. Even the most ardent rider will need a break and the family can enjoy medieval Excalibur – A Dragon’s Tale or spin together on Drunken Barrels.
Set in 15 acres of open parkland is the zoo. Home to primates, big cats, penguins, reptiles and owls. The Discovery Centre is a great way for kids to learn more about the animals and the conservation work the zoo supports or even become a keeper for a day!
There are lots of lunch options in the park but I always recommend the Buccaneer Food Court & Takeaway in Pirate Cove. Being not in the centre of the park means its a little quieter so usually have no trouble finding a table so can relax and enjoy lunch. With some outside seating it’s an ideal spot to enjoy an ice-cream while waiting for the others to catch you up!
